There are vendors ebay sellers purchase from saying their hard drives are "new" but in fact show up to 5 years of hours logged (more or less) per software Drive RX. I bought from 5 different vendors "new" hard drives and all have the same issue except one. Sellers, good to be aware of this. Buying Factory Certified is the way to go. It is Truly factory sealed with anti-moisture pack included vs newly resealed. I appreciate the no hassle return. Thankyou.

    Sllloooooooow

    These hard drives are pulled from failed external enclosure kits and recertification by Seagate. They are extremely alow but provide very cheap storage if you don't need the speed. I use 2 of these in my media server, works great. Transferring data between 2 of these results in an average transfer speed of about 20-30MB/s.. Pretty weak. Occasionally dipping into single digits depending on what is copying.

    Awesome backup media at a GREAT price!

    Backups are usually the individual's last thought, most often AFTER losing data. These make EXCELLENT targets to back up my data and just cycle through them. One backup of all my PCs every month with rotating backup disks is to me the most awesome example of thinking ahead. These disks are EXACTLY what I needed. Thanks for offering them at this price!

    Nice clean replacement for UNRAID array

    This drive came in clean and shiny. It had over 16K hours on it but no errors on the SMART report. I was able to preclear and add it to an array in UNRAID with no issues. An excellent solution to replace a bad 3TB drive.
