About this product

Product Information

The 2011 edition of Dangerous Hunts challenges players to conquer the world's most ferocious predators, using only their wits, their knowledge of the wilderness, and a selection of Cabela's top-quality outdoor gear. As in earlier versions of the game, the situations are more extreme than in other Cabela's hunting titles, as players find themselves in desperate kill-or-be-killed situations designed to test the skills, mettle, and luck of any would-be outdoorsman. In the game's Story Mode, players take the role of Cole Rainsford, who travels to Africa to hunt animals that have been attacking people in remote villages. Players face off against unnaturally aggressive wolves, bears, lions, crocodiles, and other dangerous beasts, in tense, first-person shooter battles. Dangerous Hunts also features a "Shooting Gallery" mode, with a number of multiplayer options. The console game is specially designed for play with the Top Shot Elite -- sold separately -- a pump-action gun controller with an adjustable stock, designed to convey the feel of an authentic hunting rifle.

Item arrived quickly and as described. It functions perfectly and was not damaged in transit despite the poor packaging of the item. I was honestly a little annoyed to have paid $5 for shipping on a $2 stamp, but it’s still a decent total price and made for an excellent gift. Don’t take my comments negatively; I would buy from this seller again and do recommend others consider this seller as well!

I use a shipping rate for Canada which is the same price no matter which game you buy. The Nintendo DS game that you bought happens to be extremely light. For 95%+ of the games, the shipping price makes sense. However, some games are heavier and some games are lighter than the average - so there is an aspect of fluctuation that I account for. But you're right about the total price, that's what matters, I also currently have "Best Offer" on - so you can always make an offer to get a better price.

  • Cabella's Big game Hunter 2011

Game has great story. A bit tough getting used to though. I've not played any previous versions, yet this was geared for the PS3 Move and helped prompt my purchase. Action is good, with some of the play coming at you very fast. Reloading with the move gets a bit tricky and I would suggest purchasing an after-market (or pay a bit more for the full game with gun included) pistol. The standard PS3 pistol may be a bit small for this game play and some aftermarket pistols seem hefty in the hand and may prove to help in dexterity needed for keeping the hands a decent distance apart for firing and re-loading. Apparently some notable screenwriter or whatever developed the storyline. This doesn't motivate my purchases nor affect my opinion of the game. The Galleries are fun for practice, then you ...

  • Lots of fun!

  • Hunter becomes the hunted

This isnt like the other Cabelas Dangerous Hunts games of the past. This is more of an action hunting game and has a kind of survival adventure section which i found very entertaining even though tough at times. Its scary and gives you the feel of hopelessness out in the wilderness, good for something different if you can be patient and have nerves of steel!

  • Possibly the worst game ever made....

This game is absolutely... horrible. It is not a hunting game it is a first person shooter with a dumb story line. First off why am i having to kill animals that aren't "normal". there extra violent and attack in massive packs... since when do jaguars hunt in packs and why is the first boss the hardest..... Why am i killing a gene spliced white hyena as the end game boss.... its just so completely dumb..... dumb aiming... not real hunting and unrealistic gun damage... super weak. Overall this is the worst game i have ever played and ill never buy a cabelas game again. Oh i almost forgot about the baboons who fling poo that's radioactive.
