Item arrived in poor condition. The packaging was torn and covered in the remnants of a large sticker that someone unsuccessfully attempted to remove. Nothing like images provided for the listing. Upon reaching out to the seller I was told I could return it for a refund, and given “advice” to contact a seller prior to purchase to make sure I’m receiving the item pictured. I won’t be returning because it isn’t worth my time, but very disappointed with transaction. Won’t shop here again.

The game was never returned because he got an amazing deal. I had multiple copies. The one received had a tiny rip in it. I told him to return it for a refund because I already sent him a discount and could not issue another one. He essentially wanted me to give him the game for free for a tiny rip. If you are a seller save yourself the headache and block this guy. He threatens negative feedback if you do not give him additional discounts after discount offers are already sent to him.

A must see for those who love complex futuristic films.
Making a splash on the scene in 2006, V for Vendetta may not cater to any one set of movie-goers, but seems to fit into a niche of its own. Just as George Orwell's novel "1984" attempted to paint a portrait of our own future, this film seems to have done so with believability and impact. The Wachowski Brothers wrote the screenplay and can greatly be recognized with the high brow sci-fi "Matrix Trilogy" which gave them the credibility to do just about anything they want in film. The story-line, although complex at times, seems to always come together and present the future through the eyes of a madman and his semi-captor cohort named Evey (Natalie Portman), a working class young lady, that has as many high ideals, but tries to understand V's (Hugo Weaving) motives, who hides his identity ... Little do we know that V was seeking vengeance upon the leaders of the government now lead by the Grand Prime Minister of Britian played by John Hurt. The tension that develops as our bold and charismatic freedom fighter, V schemes and plots to get payback from the people that scarred him for life. This film has many different fight scenes with confusing and unexpected cat and mouse play between V and the so-called establishment that wishes to snuff him out. The mailing of the masks to various places even makes it harder to stop him since everyone wants to mimic his progress. The exactness and timing of certain events in this film make it a real knuckle-biter. Natalie Portman delivers an astounding range of emotional power in this film and helps the film along by revealing a side to Evey that we don't see at the beginning. I give this a 5/5 for action, intrigue, cleverness, and forcing us to find no middle ground between the opposing views that this film screams for us to do. Hugo Weaving's rich voice gives the title character the depth and strength he needs to carry this engaging film through a somewhat complex tale of a dystopian England. Natalie Portman's tragically bad British accents is not even noticeable once "V" makes his appearance. He quickly sets the stage for a "terrorist" attack that will wake the passive population up and spur them to overthrow the totalitarian government that has taken over after a deadly virus outbreak. Be sure to watch the DVD extras and marvel at the way Alan Moore and David Lloyd's intriguing graphic novel is brought to life. Excellent Story Well Done Intrigue, Betrayal, Politics + Payback. Thank God, It's NOT another stupid Love Story Boring . . The Cast + Characters All Shine in Their Performances I'd buy it again and actually I have to because I bought a used copy and the last 3 - 4 Minutes are all messed up I still don't know how it ends

Oh man, I didn't expect this
I had not read a review or heard anything about this but rented it by chance. Yes this is a great movie. A compelling story yet familiar, like all the good versus evil stories. I won't lay out the plot - you can read that above - but I will mention a thing or two. The evil - in this case the Parliament government of Britain - has a big brother like grasp over its subjects. The power of the Chancellor, brought about by fear, reminds me of Alan Parkers vision of an evil party coming to power in Pink Floyd; The Wall - a vision reminiscent of the uprising of a famous party that came to power in Germany in the 1930's. The use of black, red and white colors emphasizes this. The good, an unknown man in a mask, has a very solid plan to bring about a change to the control of the government. ... Mix Zorro with the Phantom of the Opera and there you have him. Fear is a large topic in this film. Fear is what gives the government power. The main masked character named "V" seems to have turned the table by making the government afraid of the people, (but the people don't know this). The story unfolds through our main girl and our main cop. GIRL: the innocent victim / yearning to do the right thing / judge and jury / symbol of a new era. COP: fills in some of the blanks and maintains a wonderful balance of duty versus doing the right thing. Some of the "red tape" of government conflicts his instinct to bring the truth out or catch the villain. But just who is the villain? The cop and our main heroine, having seen enough of the situation, lose their fear and act on what every decent human acts upon, the need to make things fair and just. Balance is a good word for this movie. Everything unfolds in perfect balance. There is a little bit of that Matrix stop motion time slowing action in this film but it is done in moderation, or in perfect balance to the rest of the film. The sets, the filming, the actors, the lighting, the dialog were all great. Movement, or flow, never got too slow or too fast - again, perfectly balanced. Maybe just a little too English for this American but it was supposed to be in England so I'll have to ruddy deal with the language thing. One other note. The transition from the last scene to the end credits works out perfectly! The end of the movie fades to black, then the Rolling Stones song Street Fighting Man kicks in as the credits start to roll. The feeling the movie leaves with you at the end, coupled with this song is genius. Nearly brought tears to my eyes. It shouts "Here's the deal, NOW GO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!" THE BOTTOM LINE: A must own movie. Got to watch it twice to catch everything so you might as well buy it. You'll want to watch it again in a year - maybe every year - say around November 5th! Great movement, actors, story, visuals.
