It didn't show a cable cover and looks as though its routed through the mirror shaft. That is how the one on my truck is. There are "other" choices on ebay with the shaft cover that conceals the cable for about half the price of this one. I purchased this thinking, due to photo angles, that it was identical to what my existing mirror. In any case, I'm happy with the product and will not return it.
