    Inexpensive, easy to use, long lasting

    I love these things. THey work very efficiently, are easy to navigate through the menus, and don't send you driving down goat tracks anywhere near as much as Garmins or other GPS units. All GPS units make mistakes, but the TomTom series is less prone to errors than others. This is a very simple unit, small but with a screen large enough to be seen without glasses. The battery is large enough to get you through a full day's use, and with a docking station and power cable will stay on as long as it takes. Satellite acquistion used to be slow, but the latest update resolves that issue. The software is well thought out, with itinery planning and the ability to view the route as a map, turn by turn or simulation. The speaker volume is loud enough to hear even over loud stereos.
