    I like the book. Its very sturdy and nice to touch and read. And the recipes, are all grouped nicely and easy to understand. The index at the end also helps a lot and she is good at explaining all the ingredients and how they contribute to the cakes texture. And almost all of the cakes have pictures. The cakes all look good and though I haven't baked them, I have read through a lot of them. I am sure the cakes would turn out to be amazing. But the ingredients she lists are a little difficult to find sometimes. I mean you cannot find them all in your local store, at least I couldn't find a few of the ingredients. And she does give options to replace but most of the time even the replacements are a little not so common. And if I did replace the ingredients, I am not sure if the cake will ...

  • 'Heavenly' cakes indeed

    I just make the Pound Cake from this book, and yes indeed the book was correctly titled, was a big hit, and didn't last through the evening. And I'm still in the stages of reading it. I already see lots of cakes that will be delightfully making my kitchen smell 'Heavenly". I know this book will be a family pass along and will give my family many years of smiles and the best cakes that one can make!
