Perfect for Protecting SDRs
The relay itself: As pictured, good used condition, works perfectly, obvious how to hook up. I used the existing wire ends to solder to. Most hams have 12v in the shack, so this 12v relay was perfect for protecting the front end of my SDRs when my radio goes into transmit. I have it set up so in the normally open condition, it passes the the signal from my Kenwood TS-590sg antenna splitter output. to the SDR. When the Kenwood transmits, I use the TS-590sg's amp keying to key this relay, which in the energized position goes to a 50 Ohm termination, Any I time I tx, there is a 50 ohm resistor to ground on the SDRs. I haeve two SDRs and can use a 2nd relay to to switch the antenna from tje Kenwood to either of the SDRs.
