Best! I sure wish all my local music shops hadn’t closed up (3 in the last 4 years) but I guess these folks are my new “local”. They even sent me a couple of key fobs! How friendly is that?

  • Incredible Footage!

For the history buff, particularly those interested in military history, this might well be the 'ultimate' collection of seldom-seen combat footage from almost every major conflict of the twentieth century. Well and accurately narrated, students of history will literally watch it 'come alive' on film. Watching the entire set (it will take quite some time) is akin to a university survey course regarding the military history of the last century. It's that good, perhaps better than what many classes might offer. I would heartily recommend this set to any military history buff, or just anyone interested in history or war. Much of the footage, being war, is not for young eyes. This is an in-depth treatment of the subject utilizing actual footage which is surprisingly ...

  • Just OK

Some great historic footage, but has a ponderous narrative, and is put together in such a way as to not really get into the details which really matter. It seems like there was an effort to cram too much general information into the program, at the expense of specific battle accounts. I figured with 7 DVD's, there would be some detail. Some of the most important battles of WWII are mentioned only in passing (e.g., Kursk). If you want a general overview of warfare in the 20th Century, you will probably enjoy it. If you want detailed accounts, look somewhere else.

  • educational

Amazing collection of archival footage documenting the major Wars of the 20th century. Well edited and quickly moving summary of the pivotal events. The footage from German, Russian, and other National archives is facinating to watch. The sound editors did a tremendous job of adding sound effects to the original footage. The added realism is disarming. The theme music is haunting and beautiful. A good solid overview of the major international events of the 20th Century. Tragic, Horrifying, Sobering, Educational, and Inspiring. We should never forget.
