Ghost House is a lackluster platformer in which players navigate a haunted house by climbing ladders, dodging or jumping over traps, and punching bats, ghosts and other haunted house-type creatures. The primary objective of each of the game's six levels is to find and kill five Draculas. Unlike most vampires, which require a beheading or some other genre-specific manner of killing, these blood suckers are susceptible to mere punches. Cartoonish graphics, silly music, lack of weaponry, nonexistent atmosphere and sluggish gameplay put a stake through this game's barely beating heart.

Underrated SMS title
Ghost House is one of my favorite hidden gems of the Master System collection. Since its one of the console's “Sega Cards” it doesn't have the same quality of graphics and sound as other SMS titles, but the difference is negligible in my opinion. The point of the game is to travel through a haunted house (sometimes seems more like a castle) killing bats, ghosts, mummies and other creatures. The goal is to collect keys by killing enemies in order to open coffins throughout the level and destroy the vampire inside. After you kill each vampire, you get a gem and after collecting all the gems in a given level, you continue on to a new haunted house/castle. The game play is straight forward and there are amusing tricks use can use to dispense with the vampires ... Ghost House is one of my favorite hidden gems of the Master System collection.
