This is a great movie. Lots of action and. Good story and sometimes funny. Everything you need in a great movie. I love it. Watched it 5 or 6 times. Plan to watch again. If you get this movie. You need to get the others. I have them all. Story continues on 2,3,4,and 5. Well worth the money.

Universal Soldier: The Return Come on Jean Claude, what were you thinking. This movie was made to cash in on the rising popularity of WCWs Bill Goldberg. Every preview featured him in it, so I thought he'd play a larger role. Not that it mattered or anything. This movie wasn't very good. Final Verdict: 2/5 Rent or Buy?: A rental maybe, but only if you're looking for a laugh. That being said, it's worth purchasing if you're a die-hard Van Damme fan. A Great Blast Of A Movie
I have most of the collection and needed this to complete it. Of course, I'm a fan of Jean Claude's movies. It is really a great action one.

Fun Van Damme film even if it's got a B-movie script
I really don't get why most people heavily criticize this movie. Actually, I had a really fun time watching this flick. Maybe the reason why so many people dislike it is because they just take it too seriously. Fans of the first movie who expect a serious sequel won't get what they're hoping for. That's rather good in my opinion. The first movie was just boring and had bad (and too little) action, but that's not the case with "Universal Soldier: The Return". The action is nearly non-stop from beginning to end, and most of the action scenes are great! I really liked that wrestling guy being one of the main bad guys, and the fight at the hospital with the nurses (you have to see it for yourself) was just hilarious. Universal Soldier: The Return
This movie was better than the first Universal Soldier, but not by an extreme amount. It was more action packed and I liked that they used Michael Jai White as the the voice of S.E.T.H. and the Ultimate Soldier. Great fight scene at the end with Jean-Claude and White. It is a decent watch. Be warned though, it is another movie about a computer that changes it's program to stop it's own demise. If you liked the first one, you will probably like this one.This movie was better than the first Universal Soldier, but not by an extreme amount.
