Shipped very quickly and arrived within the communicated time. It was described as new, and I don't believe this is actually true based on the packaging and superficial imperfections on the exterior of the ballast. But, the bottom line is that it works, and was reasonably priced.

Nice, programmable switch. Not for Led.

If using with led lights it will not work. Tried using this for a heavy duty string of led patio lights and the lights just blinked/strobed. I had to install 1 incandescent bulb for the switch to see more of a power draw for the switch to function.

  • Smart and intutive interface

With a name like Honeywell you know its going to be designed well. Probably not the cheapest in wall timer out there but worth the extra $. Has cool blue back lighting (controllable), with a well thought out, intuitive interface. I almost didn't need the instructions to set it up. Very reliable, really like this unit compared to some other lower end models out there.

  • Good purchase

This is good for someone who is not able to leave the porch light on before leaving the house or just before dark. It also gives the impression that some is tending to the home to ward off potential intruders. I'm not sure how much if any electricity it saves since it requires at least 40w incandescent bulbs.

  • One less thing to mess with

This is a handy switch and just what I needed for forgetting to turn off the front doors lights in the morning, since I don't use that entrance. One thing to note is that I read you need a neutral wire for this switch to work with low wattage LED lights. Sure enough, my home was built in 1980, so I had no neutral wire. I read that there has to be a 40 watt load on this model of switch for it not to flicker (with no neutral) and that is what it did with the 8 watt LED's that I tried. I then swapped them out to 60 watt incandescent bulbs and it works perfect. It kind of goes against the whole "save energy" thing, but since the rest of my bulbs in my home are LED, I still am glad not having to turn on and off the porch light anymore.
