Had some trouble through shipping and seller was fully cooperative in fixing my issue. Went out of their way to look for a part that didn’t ship with the package. Offered a full refund. Although the price for shipping was a bit much.0

    Simple retro nav!

This Insignia navigation is simple to use and reliable. I feel like I'm back in 2009 with the clunky graphics but thats what I expected from this inexpensive nav'. my phone maps are much smoother but It frees up the phone for like, I don't know, calls and texts! No complaints here.

  • Insignia NS-NAV01 Automotive GPS Receiver

Since this was my first GPS unit, I was unsure as to exactly what I was getting into. After fully charging the unit and getting a signal, I was easily able to program my home address even without using the instruction booklet. I have taken the unit on a couple of short trips around home and have been pleasantly surprised at how accurate this unit was. The real test came when I had to do a work route that took me to "in the middle of no where" subdivisions and subdivisions around small lakes in central Michigan. I was really surprised to see that this unit has all the small two track lanes that has been named! Being able to zoom in to the area I was in made finding addresses a snap. I am hooked. I am good with directions, but this unit gives me the feeling that I can find any street ...

  • Insigna NS-NAV01 Automotive GPS Receiver

I like the fact that I can enter the whole address without the gps filling in the rest or misinterperting what I am putting in. My old gps was a better, more expensive one, and could not get some addresses because "automatic fill" would take over and not find the place. I like the fact that it has a 2 hour battery. I can put locations in, while sitting at home. My older more expensive gps had no battery. I like the constant changing of streets shown on the map as I pass over them. I like the brillant colors. I dislike the fact that the voice sounds like a woman with marbles talking, and I cannot get the volume up louder than where i have it. I have to keep the radio off and devote full attention to the weak, sometimes undiscerable voice. All in all, it was a good deal at only $45 though. ...

  • Insignia GPS: you get what you pay for

This GPS works and that is what I like about it. The best part is that it does not turn off automatically when you get out of your car. I had an expensive GPS that died after 2 years and then I used my GPS on my phone for $10 a month. I bought this GPS for $35 and it has already almost paid for itself. It is easy to operate, but does take some time to find a GPS signal and calculate a route (usually a minute or two). Some other people wrote that the voice on this GPS is hard to understand which is untrue. It is just as hard to understand as any other GPS voice. Another thing I read on a review was that it can misguide you. It did this by telling me we should have been in the left lane instead of the right lane, but was telling us the right highway to get on. The GPS does a great ...

  • Other reviews exagurate

For the price and wanting an introductory unit this was a great purchase. I got it for the wife who didn't want anything too fancy or complex. She loves it. We used it in the rain and cloudy weather and it kept its GPS lock steadily. Two things the other reviews are correct about, it does take a little bit too long to get an initial satelite fix. Also the buttons lag when typing. Once you get used to holding your finger there a split second the rhythm goes quicker. But still, in todays tech age the button lag seems ... bleh, for lack of a better term. In all it does everything it is supposed to do and the learning curve for two newbie GPS users is way high.
