As another reviewer commented, it doesn't give enough info for someone learning about antique and vintage jewelry. It's a fun book, in a fun size, if you already have good reference books and/or knowledge. It is what I was expecting and I'll probably collect the field guides for what they are. So, yes, I'd recommend it to those who already have good references as a novelty and ..No, I don't recommend it if you're buying it to learn about antique and vintage jewelry. Save your money and seek another guide for jewelry!
Save your money!!! I purchased this jewelry price guide in hopes it would provide me with a thorough reference book on vintage and costume jewelry. Unfortunately, the book did not meet my expectations and does not provide nearly enough information on costume and vintage jewelry. It has some pictures and references a few select pieces by providing the maker and a very BRIEF description of the particular piece but otherwise I find the book to be worthless. I did appreciate the small size of this jewelry price guide as it can fit into your pocket as you shop.Save your money!!!
