About this product

Product Information

Developer Clap Hanz's whimsical approach to sports games moves from the links to the courts with Hot Shots Tennis. Building on what made Hot Shots Golf a success, Hot Shots Tennis features a cast of quirky, cartoon-like characters, a variety of unlockable extras, and a realistic physics engine behind the arcade-style action. Players can choose one of 14 characters while trying to improve their stats and overall ranking by winning events against stronger opponents. Eleven offbeat court locales are included, ranging from tropical beaches to ancient ruins. The heart of the game is the single-player "Hot Shots Challenge," which involves advancing through seven classes and unlocking costumes, chair umpires, court objects, and more. New players can practice their timing and footwork with a series of drills in the Training Mode, while friends can compete in their choice of head-to-head or doubles matches supporting up to four players.

Wish it would've shipped in a bubble envelope instead of a paper one, but it arrived as described at a very low price, so I can't really complain. A+ Seller. Cheers!

Top Ebayer! A++++++ Exactly as described, nicely packaged, good price and arrived quickly. (if you see 3 items with similar reviews of mine for this seller, that's because I ordered 3 things on the same day from this seller and they were all excellent!) Thanks!!

  • Awesome Gameplay. Less than handful of features.

As a Hot Shots Golf fan, this game was an obvious must-buy. The gameplay of Hot Shots Tennis really met the expectation I had, and that says a lot since I had great experience with Golf version. Just like the Golf version, it is very easy to learn and start with but still has a depth where you can really hone your skills and get better. However, where I stumbled upon was the features they had. They have Hot Shots Challenge where you can unlock characters and stuff, and free game areas where you can just play singles or doubles game for one-time fun. But where is a tournament mode? I don't expect Grand Slam like other games which I'm all for, but they could've put some other options of playing once you're done unlocking everything. Again, it's a very very fun game to play, but I just ...

  • Hot Shots Tennis

I got hooked on this game playing the demo version at Wal-Mart. I decided that I had to have it so I looked it up on E-Bay. The game itself is rather simple and easy to play, after all, it is tennis. All you do is hit the ball back and forth. The characters each have their own traits and the opponents get harder as the game progresses. I'm not one for playing tennis, I'm more a one person shooter or a Nascar game but this game is put together well. It's probably intended for a younger aged player than myself. It is a fun game, I do recommend it to others. Trust me, it will bring out the competition in you, trying to beat your opponent. It's all in good fun none the less. But do be careful, you will lose the track of time playing this game. You will have played for hours and only think it's ...

  • Decent game for a good price.

If you have played any of the Hot Shots Golf games then you're already familiar with the system in this game. Same type of characters, settings, atmosphere, and graphics. Kind of goofy games with realistic game dynamics. For the price this game is alot of fun and is addicting. It doesnt last long (can be beaten fairly easily within about a day of playing.) But it is still worth playing. My only complaint is I wish they had set it up like the golf games. Tournaments, buying accesories, rackets, shoes, e.t.c, but it is still a very fun game. Recommended!

  • Very fun and fairly simple. Realistic, yet arcadey.

Hot Shots Tennis' original Japanese title is Everybody's Tennis, and it shows. Made by Clap Hanz, the game is easy to pick up and play, but has enough depth so that it won't tire terribly soon. Unlike most modern tennis games (Virtua Tennis, Mario Tennis), HST's shot system focuses on timed button presses instead of charged shots. This can be more realistic and allowing of greater shot placement, but it can be odd that moving to the ball is no different than waiting for it. The visual style is similar to the Hot Shots Golf series, with cute anime-style semi-realistic characters of many flavors. Hot Shots Tennis has a Challenge Mode (10-15 hours to complete) and a multiplayer mode (offline only). The game can be easy for tennis veterans, but tough or medium for newcomers, though there are ...

  • Best Tennis game for all ages

For anyone familiar with the Hot Shots Golf game, which is just about everyone since it is one of PlayStations all-time best sellers, Hot Shots Tennis is the game for you. Using the same formula of ease of play and off beat characters, Hot Shots Tennis can be enjoyed by everyone in your family. It's just challenging enough for avid tennis gamers without being too difficult for casual gamers. With various modes like Training, Fun Time (free play), and Hot Shots Challenge to choose from, you can never get bored. You can play against someone in singles action or take the virtual court together in doubles. Add a multi-tap and have up to 4 people play at the same time. There are a host of characters to choose from, each with their own set of unique attributes and skills. They even come ...
