    Don't cross Michael Caine!!

    I had listened to the audio version of this book by Simon Brett and loved it, so when I saw that it had been made into a movie, I had to watch it! Of course, like most movies based on a book, this didn't quite live up to the original story, but Michael Caine was a good "villain"...one of those types that you almost root for. When he fails to receive the promotion he felt assured of getting, he feels very upset. He accidentally causes the death of a beggar and after getting away with that, decides to eliminate anyone who is a nuisance in his life, including his wife. No terrible violence is depicted so this is fairly tame...just a good, old fashioned thriller.

    Shock to the System

    This dvd is new. It was delivered fast and in great shape. Michael Caine and Elizabeth McGovern are both great in this "dramedy:. It's funny in ways and not in other. I love it.

    Always a winner

    This movie was a sleeper at the theaters in the 80's & I didn't see it until much later myself. It is one of my favorites & we have shown it at our home many times with guests because, likely they haven't seen it and it is really entertaining. I laugh that it's rated R against today's standards. I finally purchased it to have my own copy.
