Toner arrived OK, but the HP box did not fit the USPS medium flat rate box, so USPS charged $5.35 postage due. I communicated with the seller about this and said it's a wash because if he had sent it in large flat rate box, it would have cost an extra $5 or so. On the HP box, there was a date stamp: 20180828. I gather this is either the manufacturing date or expiration date. In any case, five years have elapsed, so I am not certain that the toner will be OK in another year when I will need it.

    Fast and lightweight

    It really does charge fast. Tried charging 4 AAA as my first test and it charged faster than the 30 mins listed on the manual. As someone already mentioned, it does not have auto shut-off, so you just have to make sure you don't forget that it's charging. Also, the manual says it needs to be in the vertical position or floor mounted when charging. I guess it's because it gets hot from rapid charging and the fan needs to ventilate well. And make sure not to use extension cords when charging. Maybe you can, I'm not sure, but I'd rather follow the manual and be on the safe side :) Overall it's a good buy and really great for when you need batteries asap.

    Quick Charging...but doesn't shut down

    The batteries charges rapidly in less than 30 minutes. It has a fan that runs to keep the unit and batteries cool during charging, but once the light is green and charging complete...it doesn't shut off. With the fan continuing to run...you must unplug the charger to shut it off, so it much be watched.

    Pretty Quick

    Not quick if the Ni-MH is totally dead, but if it still has some juice left, its very fast like 15-20 minutes which blows the doors away compared to a conventional charger. Negative is that its loud--it has a fan that keeps the charger cool because of the amount of charge it gives to the battery. Its NOT a trickle style by all means. But you're in a hurry like most people. Nobody wants to wait overnight for stupid batteries.
