About this product

Product Information

The third chapter in the series, and the first with a 3D perspective (the original Duke Nukem and the sequel, Duke Nukem II, are side scrolling platform games). This game, set sometime in the early 21st century, begins in a ravaged LA, which was overtaken by aliens while you were abducted during Duke Nukem II. Duke, upon returning to Earth, finds himself with another mess to clean up, and another alien race that needs exterminating. Duke is a can-do hero who realizes that sometimes innocent people have to die in order to save Earth, so accuracy of gun fire is not a real concern to him.

  • Going back to a classic!

I purchased this product because it was the 1st video game I ever purchased myself and I pretty much played it non-stop for a couple years. Great action, guns, girls, aliens, and (at the time)cutting edge graphics - what wasn't to like! Obviously, the controls on a PC made it a bit challenging at times, but this game is an all-time classic! I had to go back and find a copy that still works to play it again! The products that was sent to me was in good shape for the most part, although the glass case was damaged on one of the hinges. Otherwise, the disc works perfects and I am definitely satisfied with it. Can't wait to see if the PS3 version can capture the old Duke magic.

  • Duke Nukem Atomic PC

The reason I didnt give this game a 5/5 is because it does not have any music when you play it. It just has sound effects. Unlike the PS1 version which has music. What I like about it is- The last episode it has, it is different than the one from the PS1 version. Has good graphics for a 1997 game. Good Control, and its a funny game cause Duke Nukem says funny lines every time you Explode a Alien to pieces with Pipe Bombs or other explosives.

  • Hookers, Pig Cops and Evil Aliens and a big feeling of nastalgia.

Duke Nukem needs no introductions. He is a radical dude with sunglasses who is 'kicking ass and chewing bubble gum'. Pros: The game has a very cool style to it, funny dialogue and hookers who you can tip. There are many destructible glass objects and general things that go boom and mess up the environment (all revolutionary in 1996). You get many interesting weapons like the microwave gun or the freeze gun. The level design is top notch for considering the game engine. Cons: None, this is a classic like PacMan. I had a blast playing this back in the day 1996, but now you need DosBox to play it on a modern pc. Bottom line: Get free DOSBOX and play this timeless classic.

  • Heat.net...

...inspired me to keep playing this game, due to the advange of free multiplayer buddies. Not only that, but for a 1st person shooter, what was noticeably different from Doom was the platforms could be slanted like a ramp. I know the game Descent had that, but was that considered 1st person shooter? Probably not because your in spaceship. Don't forget that platforms could be put on top of each other like a two story building, believeably the first game to do that.

  • AWSOME !!

one of the most best first person shooter in the history of pc gaming, very enjoyable story with a big taste of good humor. this game can be considered a platform for newst first person shooter !! ITS A MUST BUY ~
