    Slam-bang Action Flick

    Great, action flick starring one of the biggest icons of Hollywood history, Sean Connery. This kind of movie is always best on Bluray because of the enhanced picture quality. I have a 4K, home theater with a 65 inch Sony television screen so my minimum is now Bluray. 4K is slightly better but more expensive. I have some 4K movies but a ton of Blurays left over from when that was the highest standard.

    the rock

    This is one of Nicholas Cages better movies and of course, having Sean and Ed in it helps. The story is great, the action even better and I just love this movie and all the stars in it. Even though it is several years old, it holds up and I recommend it highly.

    "Gripping, Captivating,....." all that Critic lingo

    Well, this was one of my favorite movies from back on VHS. MY gf just got a new 46" Hd tv and Bluray, and I said to myself "Hey, I bet The Rock on bluray would look great on this TV". SO I bought my first bluray-The Rock. I popped it in and was stunned to see the quality of both the sight and sound of The Rock on her tv. Simply amazing! This movie is my absolute favorite movie right now. The Casting is great. Sean Connery makes a "007" like comeback showing the young whipper-snappers that he still has what it takes. Nick Cage is excellent and his wife is super hot. THe score/soundtrack along with all sound effects is appropriate and top-notch. All in all, this movie has it all: action + hot chick + cool guns + great visuals (that aren't all CG) + great set + sequences + comedy + cast + ...
