Had some trouble through shipping and seller was fully cooperative in fixing my issue. Went out of their way to look for a part that didn’t ship with the package. Offered a full refund. Although the price for shipping was a bit much.0

  • great camera if you can find a used one that works

It took two purchases from different eBayers to get a used Casio Exilim EX V8 that worked properly. That is why I rated it good rather than excellent. The model is very difficult to find new and those who do have it in stock sell it for more than the original list price ($299). What especially appealed to me about this model was its 7:1 internal zoom, and the ability to zoom while taking movies all in a shirt pocket sized package that takes very sharp photos. I chose the camera based on reviews from kenrockwell.com and steves-digicams.com, two on line sources which have guided me in previous camera purchases that proved very accurate. If you decide to look for this model, also consider its nearly older brother, the Casio Exilim EX-V7. The only significant difference is that the V7 ...

  • Casio Exilim EX-V8

The first thing you'll notice about this camera is how well it's built. That said, you'll also enjoy the fact that you can use it as a pure point and shoot or exert full manual control over pictures. It's a small camera that packs a huge punch. As far as I'm aware it's the one and only miniature digital camera that has a 7 times OPTICAL zoom. (Don't get conned by manufacturers that claim a "whatever digital zoom" - Digital simply means "No zoom at all" or a "you're kidding yourself zoom"). A 7x optical zoom means you can pull in distant objects easily and since it's an 8 megapixel camera, with a high quality lens and a superbly sorted interface, the results will actually be better than a top grade SLR digital camera that has a THREE times zoom. (This would only apply if filming a distant ...

  • Best Camera for the money

The camera is a solid value. My former camera is a Sony T1. This Casio model is not as slimas some of the other ultra compacts, but having the Hi-Zoom feature makes it worthwhile. The zoom is fantastic. Even more impressive is that it achieves great optical zoom without the lens popping out from the body. It is all contained within. The picture quality is nice, though I noticed a small difference in my ultra slim Casio with 3x optical zoom. It takes more vibrant pictures. I am still well pleased with the picture quality of the EX-V8. The video is very impressive. I would rather see it using mpeg format because I find MOV files to be a pain to work with, and I don't care for quicktime, but I can ive with that, too. The flash is great, and it's power is adjustable for different situations ...

  • Best Damn Digital Camera for the money!

This is the 3rd Casio and 8th digital camera that I have owned. I have upgraded from the basics to this EX-V8 model. It has all the features you would ever want and large view screen on the back. It shoots awesome pictures and with the 8.1 megapixel image you can zoom way in with out distortion when you are editing. The 7X optical zoom is the best feature. YOU WILL NOT FIND A 7X ZOOM ON ANY OTHER CAMERA UNDER $300. When you play back videos that you shot on your computer it has crystal clear picture and stereo sound that would make George Lucas cream in his jeans. That is probably over the top, but the sound is pretty good. If you are just starting out in digital photography or even if this is you 5th digital camera you will be impressed. Don't waste your hard earned money on Sony's or ...

  • the best advice ever!!!

in 2008 i pass my exilim 3.2 camara so someone took me a picture i was the 4th day of by month trip.. and accidentaly the drop it... i went to get tecnical support.. but to fix it cost the same price as new... so the person recomend me to buy the V8.. the told me it was safer from dropping problems because the lences were in the inside... he was so right!!! more than onces the camera felt i it kept going on... The pictures it takes are amazings almost pro!! and you just need it to use Ease Mode... the zooming you get is almost like a paparazzi with the 7x zooming... THE BEST CAMERA IN THE WORLD!! is a poket one with PRO funtions...
