    Lack of remote

    Although the add clearly stated there was no remote included, I assumed I could record with the machine by using the function buttons on the machine itself. This is not the case. You have to have the remote control to perform the record function

    OUTSTANDING DVD PLAYER RECORDER

    I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT PRODUCT THE TWO NEGATIVE REVIEWS GIVEN WERE USING, NOTHING ABOUT IMPLIES THAT IT HAS A "9" SCREEN". I DID FIND THAT IT PREFERS MAXELL RECORDABLE DVD'S AND NOTHING FASTER THAN 2X IF YOU ARE RECORDING. I OWNED TWO OF THESE, AND HAD NO TROUBLE FROM EITHER ONE, OTHER THAN THE MENTIONED DVD PREFERENCES. RECORDED WITH IT DAILY, EASY TO USE REMOTE, WOULD ALERT IF YOU LACKED ENOUGH SPACE ON THE DISK WHEN SETTING A RECORDING, HAD 3 RECORD SPEEDS, THE HIGHEST OF WHICH WOULD MATCH TRANSMISSION QUALITY. UPSCALED AS ADVERTISED, HAD HDMI, COMPONENT, AND MOTOROLA INTERFACE. GREAT PRODUCT!

    Misleading in discription and bad purchase over all

    DO Not buy this item. There is no 9 inch screen with the player and it. There is nothing 'portable" about it. It's very large and heavy. LG doesn't even make it or anything like it any more. It is an older unit.
