Milwaukee collet is disappointing
The collet has been changed from the same product and product number of a few years ago. The original collet had a spring that would eject the bit making it far easier to quickly change the bits. Also the original collet held the bit in without the 1/4" of in/out play. This new collet is just garbage compared to the old one. The bit doesn't eject when you pull the collet which reduces the quality of the product. I have no idea why they would ruin a great feature and how that got past quality assurance, because that's a QA failure, a failure of the product manager, and a failure of Milwaukee providing continuous good quality to the consumer. Additionally, Milwaukee failed to state the changes. Overall, my old version was one of my favorite tools. The new version is frustrating to work with. ...
