The Carl Zeiss Vario Tessar 3X optical zoom lens on the models complements their high resolution for great picture clarity, while 32 MB of internal memory and a Memory Stick media slot provide plenty of storage capacity.This new model in the S-series lets you take approximately 110 shots while using two "AA" type batteries and around 550 shots while using a NIMH rechargeable battery.So that pictures are captured in-focus with the proper lighting and exposure, the new cameras offer a smart auto-focusing and exposure system - meaning that even if the subject is off-center and in a difficult lighting situation, the cameras can automatically make the necessary adjustments. The DSC-S60 includes a 3X optical zoom and 2X digital zoom for better looking, properly framed pictures.Additionally, various preset scene modes are available for quickly selecting the best setting for the shooting conditions.Incorporating all the smart features of the DSC-S40 camera, the DSC-S60 model steps up with an elegant new design, larger LCDs, manual exposure control and the added utility of Cyber-shot Station compatibility. This model also offers the option to add tele- or wide- conversion lenses for greater magnification or a wider field of view.You won't need reading glasses to set up the perfect shot on this camera. The DSC-S60 model has a crowd-pleasing 2-inch LCD.

    Great camera with great features

    Have owned identical camera for 10 yrs before it quit working. Replaced it with this one and it meets the quality of first one. It is a nice, easy to use, easy to transfer images and easy to recharge (just replace 2 AA batteries)

    Awesome product! Great value for the money.

    This is an absolutely fantastic camera. It has a large 2inch; screen (measured diagonally). It has world famous Carl Zeiss lens. Folks, the picture taking value of a camera is not how many mega pixels it has but the quality of the lens. I have taken pictures with this camera at weddings, graduations, close ups and all were perfect. I have been repeatedly asked when showing the prints what kind of camera I used. Thats how beautiful they turned out even enlargements. Here's the kicker, almost every picture I have taken is at 1 mega pixel!!! Folks again, it's the lens and not the mega pixels. This camera is awesome.

    great little camera for the price

    Had one of these cameras previously, loved it, till it died. Was glad to find another one on E-Bay and for a lot cheaper than the first one I had. It's a little hard on batteries (AA)and the mode knob gets it's position changed when carrying it, but it takes pretty good pictures and love the date imprint on the photos.

    Best and easiest digital camera Sony has made.

    I have owned three of these. They take great pics with ease and are good on batteries. The lense is top notch.
