Hints of incest, transsexuality, and homoeroticism lie beneath the surface in this story of a summer camp where employees and campers start dropping like flies. History has lumped this into the "HALLOWEEN/FRIDAY THE 13TH rip-off" category, which is an oversight.

    Just for the extra scenes

    If you're a fan of the Sleepaway series then the only reason why you would get this dvd is because it has a couple of extra scenes in it that werenn't released with the Anchor Bay box set. There's one scene with the guy in the boat that's extended a little, more cursing with the water balloon fight, and one other scene that I can't put my finger on at this time. If you haven't seen these movies then I highly suggest seeing the Anchor Bay release due to better picture quality and more features on the disc.

    Sleepaway Camp

    I remember this movie well. I am glad I never went to summer camp. Great movie for its time. Saw Angela all grown up in the making of the second Sleepaway Camp, and she looks normal until she makes that weird face and sound like she did at the end of the 1st one.     Great movie for entertainment and a twist.

    I wanted a movie that was entertaining and at the same time a little scary. This was perfect. A little bloody, but for an eighty's movie, its pretty good. The ending is not what you would suspect. I recommend it to anyone who likes the scary and entertainng types without big names.

    Classic Horror Film!

    One of the best slasher films, proves that the innocent ones are capable of evil as well as the ones who aren't. Go out and watch it with friends....IT'S A MUST!
