    Working as it should

    I was a little concerned because of the very worn condition of the box and the unit smelled as if it had shorted out. Based on the serial number it is old stock. After installing the unit it appears to be working properly.

    It is used with backup generators. It works fine but the reported failure rate is high. Two of mine failed in 2 years. The enclosure does not allow

The enclosure does not allow air circulation to keep the electronics cool enough. Think of a "easy bake oven" that can cook a cake with a 100 watt bulb. Find a safe way to vent the box
