Item did not work, I returned the item to the seller using the return packing slip provided BY the seller. The item was returned to me saying it could not be delivered. The seller gave me no assistance in returning the item even after I took pics of the item, asking if this was the wrong address and asking for a new return slip. I opened a dispute at 3:30 AM and by 7:00 AM I recieved a refund from ebay, still have not heard from the seller.

Buyer did a return to sender on the item he “returned.” Kept the item and the cash. I’m in the process of reversing this fraudulent return. The buyer is lying when he said I wasn’t responsive, he opened a return without messaging me, as eBay recommends, he immediately shipped the item after opening the return case. After I saw the return case opened I immediately messaged him and assured him he would be refunded once the item is delivered to me. Placed a return to sender, kept the item & the $

    Works for the purpose for which I bought it

    I bought this to play some old tapes I found, after I had sold the camera I took them with. It works fine for the playback. I have not tried actually recording videos yet, or discovered how good the battery is. But it works fine for the playback. It took a while to figure out how to use the controls, which were different from the old Canon I had, and not so intuitive. The camera is smaller and lighter than the old one, which is a nice feature.

    Love the Canon ZR800

    The Canon ZR800 is the perfect starter Digital video camera. We bought this camera to record the Holidays and the kids sporting events as well as the fact that we are having a new baby and we did not want to miss anything when the new baby is born and when she comes home. This camera is very easy to use and has numerous websites to help you in anyway possible. I give this a two thumbs up for being user friendly and for price.

    Canon ZR 800

    Bought because it was the least expensive camera that would accept an external microphone. It's in pretty good shape and easy to use. I downloaded the user manual and ordered external power supply, extra battery and head cleaning tape.

    ZR800. Excellent camcorder by Canon

    Good: video and audio quality. Easy to hold, decent battery life. Best: it has a view finder and you do not need to rely on the LCD screen which means: you can see what you are filming on sunny days, and it uses less power. Bad: it uses mini DV tapes which are getting harder to find, i.e. most stores do not carry them anymore. The tapes are fine, just not as plentiful as in the old days. Yes, I would buy another.

    Reliable unit.

    Handy to have in my Video Lab to convert Mini DV tapes that were recorded on Canon Camcorders. Many of us in the industry are familiar with the 'Canon Audio Incompatibility' issue, when SOME Canon recordings won't play back on other machines properly... audio is nothing but crackling and static. This little camcorder comes to my rescue time and time again. P.S. I have 4 of them to handle larger orders.
