In Vittorio De Sica's TWO WOMEN, Cesira (Sophia Loren) and her young daughter (Eleonora Brown) leave Rome for the comfort of the Italian hills, hoping to remain safe during WWII.     Classic De Sica

    Very poor film quality for a movie made in the 1960s. But the story line was excellent. This depicts life in Italy during WW II for a mother, Sophia Loren, trying to raise her 13-year-old daughter in Rome and the countryside. It shows the strength and resilience of the Italian people during a time of crisis. The only drawback was that Sophia was so beautiful and charismatic (she was 26 when the movie was made and much too young to have a 13-year-old child) that it was distracting..
