About this product

Product Information

Theo Caulder (Gooding, Jr.) is an ambitious psychiatric who has been asked by his mentor Ben Hillard (Sutherland) to evaluate the case of legendary anthropologist and primatologist Ethan Powell (Hopkins). Powell- a highly educated man who holds an ominous secret in his past- is currently being held captive in a maximum security prison for the critically insane. In an attempt to understand the actions of this headline-gripping madman, Caulder elicits the aid of Powell's estranged daughter, Lyn. Risking his career and his life, Caulder's ambition drives him to find the truth, regardless of the cost. Both men become psychologically connected as their relationship changes from psychiartrist and prisoner to student and teacher.

    One of the most Historical movies of all times a masterpiece of a film

    I really enjoyed watching cuba talk with different inmates he related to them so well he bring out the best in anthony hopkins without cuba intsinct would not be instinct overall both actor's put on a show in this dramatic heartwarming historically masterpiece of a film 📽️📽️ this movie made me want to live like the gorillas they set a fine example of how humans should live there lives not like the violent savages we live like today

    Instincts

    I saw the ending of this movie, Instinct, on a local T.V. channel and was so impressed I immediately ordered 2 copies. One was to watch the beginning(!) and the other was to give as a Christmas gift to our son, who happened to LOVE it as well! An incredible commentary on Society and the human experience!

    Instinct (1999, VHS)

    I bought this movie because I have enjoyed the actors in previous movies I have watched. I like the underlying message of this movie, but I was very disappointed in the ending. I am sure that there are those that really enjoyed the ending, but I didn't. I bought it because of the actors in it and because I found it at a reasonable cost through e-bay.
