About this product

Product Information

Wolves of the Calla is the thrilling fifth book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series--a unique bestselling epic fantasy quest inspired many years ago by The Lord of the Rings . In the extraordinary fifth novel in Stephen King's remarkable fantasy epic, Roland Deschain and his ka-tet are bearing southeast through the forests of Mid-World. Their path takes them to the outskirts of Calla Bryn Sturgis, a tranquil valley community of farmers and ranchers on Mid-World's borderlands. Beyond the town, the rocky ground rises toward the hulking darkness of Thunderclap, the source of a terrible affliction that is slowly stealing the community's soul. The Wolves of Thunderclap and their unspeakable depredation are coming. To resist them is to risk all, but these are odds the gunslingers are used to, and they can give the Calla- folken both courage and cunning. Their guns, however, will not be enough.

    Fantastic!

This is an excellent version of the book. It contains full color illustrations, and is a great value at under $10. I am enjoying it very much, and could not be more pleased with this purchase.

  • The 5th in the DT series is great

I'm a huge King fan, I've read almost all of his novels and the same for the short stories. The Dark Tower was an obsession of mine and my old college roommate for a long time. There was a VERY long wait between The Wastelands and Wizard and Glass, but we hung in there. Wolves is just as exciting as the first 4 books, I really enjoyed the folks from Calla Bryn Sturgis, their lifestyles and funny accents...reminded me a little of the folks in Hambry in Roland's telling of his youthful adventure in book 4. I've now read all 7 books twice (same as Harry Potter and the first 6 books of Dune), so I'm not going to spoil anything, but this book was very exciting...well worth it, J

  • Very good book.

I enjoyed this book very much. I was reading the dark tower series and needed this to continue. I would recommend this to avid Stephen King readers. I think that the dark tower series are one of his best writings. They have love, humor, suspense, horror and sadness. Keep you reading, can't put it down. I had to make sure I had the whole series after I got started, didn't want to have to wait.

  • Wolves Of the Calla - Stephen King

This is a paperback version of one of Stephen King's books that I already own. My hardcover is a First Edition, so I purchased this one on Ebay to allow me to read the story, which I am really into by this point, without causing damage of any sort to my collection copy. This book is in very nice condition, but will never be worth anything other than it's value for the story it holds.

  • Good Read

Typically series books fade out with each new book. Not so, I couldn't put it down and went so far to order the next one.
