    Very good Film

    Great acting. Costumes are amazing and so is the scenery. If you’re looking for historical entertainment without any accuracy then that’s what you’ll get. The only thing that was accurate was that Mary, First daughter of Henry VIII , died from uterine cancer and Elizabeth succeeded the throne. But other than that very good movie.

    the best Elizabeth

    This is the first of two movies about Queen Elizabeth Kate Blanchett made - I most prefer this one, and can appreciate it was nominated seven times for best picture. A bit raw at times, but then, those Were the times. Costuming perfection and riveting performances, each and every one. Superb movie.

    Powerful, challengeing, food for thought, and to embrace all men!

    This is the movie I put on when I want my head to be quiet. Elizabeth II is the other movie favorite of mine. It helps me knowing a little about the papal management of good people and it has an army of it's own. There is more truth being told there. And more money than God could allow. So Elizabeth is a tangle of papal authority and her doing what is best for her people. And God sent Elizabeth a beautiful seaman to teach her to believe in herself. I love this movie because it shows hope, strong decision making for the citizens without repercussions.

    Best movie on Elizabeth

    Cate Blanchett goes above and beyond as the strong queen who must give up so much for the sake of her country. One of the most accurate portrayals of history's notorious English queen in cinema. Elizabeth is nothing but regal and stays close to those are loyal to her. Sir Walsinghan played by Academy Award Winner Geoffrey Rush plays off of Blanchett so well as the cunning and ruthless secretary who is her eyes and ears, known as her "spymaster". The production quality earns an A+ for lavish costume designs, cinematography, sets, and lighting. An absolute beautiful piece of historical drama.

    Lots of history here even for those who think they know all about it. This movie seems to tell it down to the Nitty-gritty. Cate Blanchett is superb in this role and it is an award-worthy perfomance. Joe Feinnes is a great Dudley and the movie showed how poor his judement was although I think he truly loved Elizabeth. However,in this film,I wish there had been an explanation about the death of Amy Robsart Dudley . I suppose the truth of that is quite unavailable over time. This definitely worth seeing for history buffs and those who aren't. The DVD was in wonderful shape and I was highly pleased withj the product.
