    Weber 7509 Igniter Kit

    I was so glad to find this item so I could replace it on my Weber grille. Really didn't want to have to buy a new one, and then I found a replacement igniter. I believe it is a little different than my old one, but we made it work, so now I grille steak tomorrow. Highly Recommend.

    spare igniter as other parts have rusted away

    I have not installed this igniter as I bought it for a spare because the igniter for the grill itself, the vaporizer bars and grill plates have all rusted badly and needed replacement. It appears to be suitable for the job but as to quality I cannot say, nor how long it would last. I was unable to submit this review without answering questions that did not apply and so my answers can be ignored as can the star rating

    Awesome Igniter

    This replaces the original igniter after 18 years of use on a Genesis Silver C. Now I'm back to lighting the burners with a single click. I hope it lasts as long as the original because I intend to keep the grill for a long time.

    Weber #7509 Igniter Kit

    Install much easier than the generic brand X ones. On the other hand, have a generic brand x where the metal cage around the electrode is made of MUCH heavier metal. Think it might last a lot longer, but would be a pain to do the mods to make it fit. Given that the Weber branded ones last at least 3-4 years, not clear that it's worth the extra effort. NOTE: there are aftermarket replacement stainless flavorizer bars that are NOT made by Weber that are made of heavier stock than the Weber ones. Cost less, last longer, and are about 2/3 the (hefty) price. Look for seller "rcplanebuyer"
