  • Ronnie Montrose does it again: more of the equally great 70's Hard Rock!!

Ronnie Montrose 2nd album, which sounds exactly like the continuation of the first one. Meaning - more of the masterfully played chrome & steel forged excellent 70's hard rock! This CD is just as great as it's predecessor. It extends the first album so naturally that both sound like the two inseparable parts of a one high quality rock album. Once again, it is eight beautiful 70's hard rock tracks, all of which sound equally great. However, the same flaw appears once more as well - the guitar solos are way too overshadowed by the rhythm section and accompaniment in particular. When Ronnie Montrose himself plays the lead guitar - this is really unacceptable to make such mixing lapses. Nonetheless, the CD is thoroughly enjoyable and classic hard rock fans will love it. Again, it is exactly ...

  • For redheads only. Othewise, don't waste your money.

There's only maybe 2 or 3 songs on this poorly done album that are sung by Sammy Hagar. The rest in my opinion, are quite lame. Even the one out of the possible 3 is pathetic, even for Sammy. So, it's not true afterall; not everything Sammy touches, turns to gold & I for one, am disappointed about that! All kidding aside, I prefer & recommend the 1st Montrose album, over this one; don't waste your valuable time or money. UNLESS, you're like me & are a true 'Redhead;' then, who am I to stop you & what do you care what I think, anyway? Go ahead then, waste away! Either way you swing, Ronnie Montrose has done better & so has the 'Redrocker,' Sammy. There you have, my 2 cents worth.
