Several levels of filtration and good flow
I got this filter to help clear up the haze in my 60 gallon. I I didn't realize how much more this filter will do. It added the carbon element I wanted and extra bio media. I added additional floss to the final stage to act as a polishing section and the diffuser created a great but gentle current throughout the tank. Now I have plants flowing in the breeze and fish riding the waves. Very good filter.I got this filter to help clear up the haze in my 60 gallon. I I didn't realize how much more this filter will do. Great, but be careful!
Filtering is excellent with this unit and the capability of using varied media in the internal baskets is wonderful. On the NEGATIVE side; don't turn down the hose clamps too tight; if you do you will NEVER be able to unscrew them so that you can perform maintenance on the hoses!!!! When THAT happens, the whole unit might as well be trashed (which is why I had to buy this unit to replace it's predecessor - expensive lesson learned!).Filtering is excellent with this unit and the capability of using varied media in the internal baskets is wonderful. First of all. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of this machine. I thought it would be much smaller. I am glad that it's not! In addition to my under gravel filter. My tetra water filter. And now this canister type filter. It's a worthwhile addition to my aquarium set up. I have a 55 gallon aquarium with 3 small Oscar's in it. Which are very messy fish! This canister filter is by far the best of the 3 filtration systems. First of all. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of this machine. I thought it would be much smaller. I am glad that it's not!
