    A Moving Score and A Cool compilation....all mixed up

    If you haven't seen this film please don't deprive yourself any longer. The kind of film that capture u so much that needing more to complement the feelings you experience as a soundtrack can only do. I fell in love with particuliarly the score. Sadly it is a soundtrack that brings out the reality of the music in length. Each scored track is not even 3 minutes long and although touching and perfect in sound you crave more. I am disappointed in one aspect: the tracks by actual popular artists which are great even if you shy away from"country" are mixed in and woven between the etheral score tracks. So the continuity is not choice. Get ready to utilize the program button on your player. But still.....get this cd.

    Where are the Allman Brothers? Roger Miller? ...

    Fans of this movie will be pleased with all the tracks on this award winning soundtrack as was I, however I was disappointed that the Allman Brother's "Sweet Melissa" was missing and also the original "King of the Road" as sung by Roger Miller and used in the movie. Also some lovely fiddle music was left out which was played during the sheep herding scenes.

    Excellent!

    This is an excellent soundtrack, just like the movie. If you enjoyed the movie, you'll enjoy the music in this CD. The melody transports you to a world of realities, dreams, and yearning. You can experience the feelings that became so transparent in the movie, you sense the loneliness, the happy moments, the desperation. Gustavo Santaolalla won an Oscar for this feature soundtrack, and it is well deserved.
