Casino Royale--The Novel
Fleming's first spy novel is a landmark in the genre. Reportedly, when William Stephenson (code name Intrepid) read it, he remarked that no one would believe it because it was so realistic--from the Double O (actually called the Hunter Killers)to the gadgets (Le Chiffre's car spikes were used in WWII by the OSS and an ordinary camera is made into a powerful bomb--the Russians built one with a small gun in it)to Bond's carefulness--unlike the movie version in which he would have died several times. Get 'em while you still can.
All of the Ian Flemming "James Bond" stories are now being censored. If you want the original stories as Ian Fleming wrote them, you have to get the books published prior to this year (2023). Better hurry and get them before the "progressives" decide to ban them.
