Great blu-ray boxset
My friends, the old Dragonball Z is gone! Make way for the new and improved DBZ series in this blu-ray 2 disc set. I received The boxset in very high quality HD which Really impressed me especially for an anime. Everything is enhanced especially the fight scenes in total HD. Basically, the DBZ series starts over but is heavily edited (for the better) to make it exactly how it was in the original manga. Brand new scenes have been put in place in the series to make the story. The series has been rescripted as well but the best part is, all the fillers are gone! Any scenes or even episodes not needed in the story was removed! From the first episode with the arrival of Radditz to the fight with Goku Vs Vegeta is shortened to 13 episodes! The old DBZ theme song 'Head ch la' is also gone and replaced with a brand new modern theme. The English version is voiced by Funimation and let me tell you that that did an awsome job redubbing the entire series. I'm happy to say that Funimation has cleaned up their act and decided to Dub the series by the original japsanese script!!! Before Funimation actually made up their own script and did not follow none of the japanese script and sometimes made horrible attempts to americanize the series. But now Funimation cleaned up their act and followed the original japanese script and dubbed it just like Akira Toriyama intended! I highly recommend this to any anime fan! Even if you are new to Dragonball z, they created this new series in a way that following the story easy, even without watching the previous story that came before DBZ. (Dragonball).

Great! Adult son goku's amazing adventure!
I'm a sucker for HD ever since SUPER arrived! I know it's not the same as the original and cuts alot out but the blood and beer and signs are still there!! Don't let the nickelodeon version fool you!!! Still has dirty jokes and blood!! Just better coloring! This copy was great and clean!! Good to add to my collection!

better music/placement
its the original version of dragonball z kai with the removed music.and its alot better. even tho i love the kikuchi score. the placement in kai was very weird. so this version with the yamamoto score is alot better

I wanted to buy this blu ray for a while but in Germany this Bluray is very expensive!! So i decide to buy this in the usa. It works here too and it has a very good quality. bad thats this has only 4:3 but well for this perfext legandary series its enough. Good video and soundquality.
