Was told by seller prior to bidding that local pickup would be an option, since we live in the same city. Upon winning auction, contacted seller to try to work out pickup, while also offering to instead pay shipping/have item shipped if they preferred. Seller responded to first message beginning to make plans, then suddenly stopped replying and cancelled sale with no communication, less than 24 hours after auction conclusion. Ignored all further attempts at contact to figure out what happened.

Item was destroyed beyond repair with parts having gone missing. Cancelled order due to item not being described/destroyed/available anymore. Buyer had yet to pay for item and, luckily, did not as the items were crushed.

Putting aside that accidentally destroying an item isn't a great look to begin with, seller ignored two requests for information on what had happened sent over the course of half a week, while continuing to list other items, but sent a feedback revision request within hours of my initial feedback above. I don't like giving people negatives, and I gave every opportunity to avoid this by just communicating. If a seller can't be bothered to directly communicate, I think buyers deserve to know.
