The Type 1A Canadian Price Variant ($1.00 Cover Price) of Secret Wars #8
By population size, Canada was only 9.8% of the North American newsstand market for comic books, and newsstand comics only represented only about half of Marvel's comics by the middle of the 80's, the other half being direct editions (the kind with logos instead of bar codes). So therefore only about 5-6% of the total copies of Secret Wars #8 would have been from the newsstand batch with variant cover price. An Iconic cover for the ages.
I bought this book when it first came out. It has become an essential and iconic book for those interested in Spider-Man. Cover art is amazing and the 12 issue story arc has it's place in comic history. I would highly recommend this book and the whole "Secret Wars" series to anyone interested in the genre.
