Vintage Deluxe 1:48 scale Long Haul Coal-Tender with pre-war 1:64 Scale Type-B Trucks & wheels. Marx made some of the toy cars and trucks of die-cast metal, which is a process of shaping metal by forcing molten metal into a mold under high pressure. Die-cast metal toys are usually heavier and more detailed than tinplate toys. Marx used different metals for die-casting, such as zinc, Tin and magnesium alloys. Zinc was the most common metal for die-casting, as it was easy to cast and resistant to corrosion.”
