Best. TV. Series. Ever
The Wire is heartachingly, profoundly, unsparingly real. One piece of advice to first-time viewers: some characters speak a very narrow local American dialect and it can be very difficult to understand. In fact, the African American actors playing the roles, didn't understand it either. My advice is to not fight it. Don't struggle to understand every word. Just watch the characters and let the words wash over you. After a few episodes it will all make sense. This show is so real I really believe there is a Bubbles, Stringer Bell, and so on. first 2 discs were watchable & good but disc 3 keep stopping and crashing...I don't know if rest are same but not worth the time or effort to find out if they will keep constantly needing to be restarting after crashing ...win some lose some
