Great Seller! Fast contact after purchase and even faster shipping. The lense came in great condition, like descriped. According to the serial number I got exactly the lense shown on the pictures, as well as the shown accessories. It works perfectly with my Nikon 1 V2. Nothing to complain!

    Nikon Speedlight Commander SU-800

Off camera remote flash is much more attractive than a flash on the camera. The Nikon SU-800 makes it easy to control multiple remote Nikon speedlights. The trigger uses infrared light so it does not always work if objects block the line of sight.

  • Overall price over another full flash to be a commander - it's worth the $$

I purchased the SU-800 recently as a means for it to be a master in both the Nikon CLS system and with Pocketwizard's Flex system. In the CLS system this is easier to use than the camera body or say the SB-800, but not easier than the SB-900 as a master. What's nice about it is that in both CLS and with the use of the Pocketwizard Flex system is that it's a whole lot lighter than having another external flash on top of the camera, 6.1 oz versus 1lb 2.4 oz for an SB-900. What is lacking is ability to set power in 1/3rd increments like you can with an SB-900. Without the 1/3rd increments it means a different aperture or actually going out and moving a light (not preferred!). I really love using the SU-800 with the Pocketwizard Flex system. I have the AC3 zone ...

  • Nikon SU-800 Wireless Speedlight Commander Unit

The Nikon SU-800 Wireless Speedlight Commander Unit is an awesome tool, and is far easier to use then a SB-800 or a Dslr as a commander unit. The downside to this unit is the range and that it has to be in more or less direct line of sight to the flashes(as does all Nikon's wireless CLS equipment). That said the unit works like a charm and is really easy to work with. Another benefit of the SU-800 is that it does not contribute to the overall lighting of the shot. The built in flashes and the Nikon Dslr's or the SB-800/900 is not supposed to do this either, but if used in close proximity it will contribute somewhat to the overall lighting in the shot. This can be a pain especially when working with highly reflective surfaces. Build quality could definitely be better, don't ...

  • Better than Nikon

This unit is not as expensive as the Nikon although performance and features are almost 100% the same. I have read that it is slightly better but I cannot confirm that yet as I do not have the Nikon SU 800 unit

  • Good Flash Control Tool

While range is limited it allows you to use the camera's max sync speed which I am finding to be very useful. Also the ability to shoot TTL is very useful when shooting with your Flash off camera. My kit right now includes 2 Nikon SB-910 which are easily controlled from the SU-800
