Air out the tights, slip on the mask, don the cape, and prepare to flex some muscles in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, an action role-playing game featuring the largest cast of costumed crusaders and mutant messiahs in a video game to date. Twenty Marvel superheroes have joined forces to combat the diabolical Dr. Doom and his Masters of Evil. The action will take players to Atlantis, the Skrull home world, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Heli-Carrier, and more as they guide a four-person party through 17 comic book-inspired locales. Moves include a flurry of air and ground strikes, from grapples and blocks to chargeable powers and deadly combos. Objects within the environment can also cause damage, and a choice of one- and two-handed weapons can help less extraordinary heroes mete out justice against throngs of enemies.<br><br>As players decide on which heroes to enlist in their super group, including such iconic characters as Spider-Man, Wolverine, The Thing, Captain America, Elektra, and Thor, they can customize their team's name, icon, and vehicle. The party's reputation will increase over time through heroic deeds and by successfully completing mission objectives, allowing players the opportunity to further enhance the team's or a specific character's attributes. The cast includes more than 140 comic book characters in total, many of which are available in the single-player storyline and can be unlocked for multiplayer action. The latter supports both cooperative and competitive battles, with in-game statistics tracked for each team as they earn experience points and receive powerful new equipment. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance also features unlockable bonus content, such as alternate costumes that modify a character's base statistics in the areas of defense, melee damage, and so forth.

Co-Op and Competitive Beat Em Up Video game with Vast selection of Characters!
This is a pretty okay video game for any person that consider themselves a Casual or Hardcore fans of the Marvel Universe may really enjoy this game as it does provide many historical anecdotes pertaining towards Marvel many things that not even your average comic book nerd wouldn't have ever known about without playing this game it's quite astonishing how much facts and trivia there is hidden within this game like playing the Marvel version of Jeopardy but putting all that aside this game I feel that it lacks originality as it is like most beat em up games which all share the same repetitive gameplay which is just going from room to room thrashing the bad dudes just that this time your playing as your favorite super hero or villain with the notable exceptions of Hulk and the Punisher ... Plus 2 characters less than 360 version. - Fighting can tend to be repetitive. Comments This is only the beginning of games involving the entire Marvel Universe. Real time strategy will keep even an RPG hater interested enough to play through. There are only about 5 real CGI cutscenes and they look amazing. One of the biggest disappointment may be no Hulk or Punisher as well as a lot of other characters who won't be included. But most people will have their hands full trying to decide who to pick for their team anyway so it may be for the better. Outstanding Mutli Player Comic Game RPG
This game is plain fun, and even better when you can have up to 4 players at a time. This was our main reason for trying it out. It is hard to find a good multi player game that everyone can hop into at any time. There is an unlimited combination of players and weapons that you can choose from, I didn’t even scrape the surface on playing each and every character. I personally used a combination of the cheats and the walkthrough for review purposes. With the cheats you can have everything instantly. For you hardcore gamers you will enjoy the hours of unlocking all of the levels, players, and there special moves this game has to offer. For you Marvel and comic book fans this game definitely has what you are looking for with its in depth look into the Marvel Universe. The RPG style of game ... The RPG style of game has very good cut scenes and a good story board that is easy to follow. You will start with Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man, and Wolverine, and as you progress you will eventually be able to get all 18 different super heroes. The artists at Raven software have done an excellent job at creating the different fantasy worlds Mephisto's Realm, Asgard, Mandarin's palace, the Skrull home world, and Dr. Doom's castle. The loads of great art in this game make it very visually pleasing. This game combines it all from multiplayer game play action, furious button mashing fight scenes, mind games, challenging villains, as well as plenty of mini games to play. Id say it has it all

Well i beat this game in about 9 days, pretty easy and fun to play. The graphics arent the best on the xbox but when i saw the cutscenes i thought it would be looking good...worth renting and/or buying... Online is pretty decent also, the story is easy to understand, lots of little puzzels and crap, a walk through could come in handy...i used one for half the game, helped out, and once again spiderman and co. save the day...poor dr doom..and galactus looked pissed at the end...Well i beat this game in about 9 days, pretty easy and fun to play. I bought the Marvel Ultimate Alliance video game for Xbox on Ebay because it's still too expensive at retail stores despite the game being relatively old. The price I paid was excellent and I had it shipped priority which put my purchase in hand three days after I paid for it, which was very nice. Even with priority shipping the cost was still almost ten dollars less than any retail stores that carry the game near me. The game itself is an outstanding action-adventure allowing players to choose from a huge lineup of heroes to form a custom team with which to play the adventure. The quantity of heroes one has to choose from also gives this game more re-play value than many other games. Any game that allows you to play the Silver Surfer, Thor and Wolverine at the same time gets two thumbs-up ...
