Platforming Paradise in Bedrock" As one of the last games released for the NES, Flintstones 2 took the 8-bit system to its limits. Released in 1994 as a rental only game through Blockbuster Video, Flintstones 2 is among the rarest and most expensive NES titles- and quite the collectible in NES circles. The game regularly sells for over 150 dollars on Ebay- and a complete in box copy would likely fetch upward of 750 dollars! Protip: If you can find this game at a garage sale you've struck gold! :) But aside from being a collector's item, the game shines in term of being a unique and challenging platformer. The game allows you to switch between Fred and Barn at any time which is truly remarkable for a NES game. Each character has his own unique abilities- Fred has the power to charge his ... Another unique aspect of Flintstones is that there are two sports mini games. In these games you take on "Enemy" and play Enemy in stone age ice hockey and rock basketball. The games are fairly easy when you get the hang of them but are still quite fun. There are a good variety of levels in the game and some of them are actually quite challenging (I can't tell you how many times I fell in the haunted house where you have to do multiple climbs with Fred!)

The game is very fun big you enjoyed Rescue of Dino Hoppy you’ll love this. Just be prepared to pay the high price this game comes with.

As many collectors know, this gem was only released to the rental market. That, coupled with the late release of the title makes this one of the rarest officially released cartridges. So is it really worth your 200 dollars? The answer is , unless you're a die hard collector like myself, probably not. The graphics are quite good considering the hardware capabilities. However, that's where the nice things end. The gameplay is rather bizarre, as you are constantly switching between Barney and Fred in an attempt to reach the end of the level. At one point I even had to change characters while jumping. Overall the difficulty of this game isn't very high, though it is challenging because of the awkward controls. Play for about a minute and you'll quickly find out that they've doubled up button ... As many collectors know, this gem was only released to the rental market. But if you need to grab onto a ledge, then you have to release A and press it again while holding the UP arrow. All before you land. This maneuver takes some getting use to, but it is essential in mastering the gameplay. There are lots of different game modes, which is both a curse and a blessing. It certainly adds variety by having multiple styles of gaming. For example, the hockey arena is a nice bonus stage, and the surfing stage is rather neat, (though full of its own annoyances). The downside to having such a variety is that none of them are above average. So what does this all add up to? A moderately difficult game for all the wrong reasons. Chances are you'll be bragging about owning this game, not playing it.
