    As always, Adam Beach gives a stellar performance and embodies a native character excellently. Numerous supporting native actors as well, good to see. The storylines related to Beach's character were compelling, and a good foundation for future character development. However the show falls short in various ways having to do with its commercial production and male director. For example, the female characters with ridiculously coiffed hair most of the time, was very tiresome. As a female viewer, it was offputting. The lead female character's meticulous eyeliner and gobs of lipstick and gloss in most every scene also was tiresome artifice. Plus, the gratuitous titillation filming in some of the sexual exploitation bar scenes (one can film such scenes without closeups of jiggling a** ...
