THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS-movie- resurgence of the CUBE
I recently watched the MOVIE, "THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS" (2006)- starring Will Smith. It included a small scene about the solving of the RUBIK'S CUBE. I had used this book - "The Simple Solution to Rubik's Cube by James G. Nourse (1981)" to solve the cube 26 years ago back in 1982, at the ripe age of 17, and was curious if I could do it again. Within 3-4 days of picking up my copy of this book off the bookshelf, I had re-memorized the simple solution. (IT REALLY IS SIMPLE) and could solve the cube at will (no pun intended ) in under 2 mins. on several different occasions. My record is only 88 seconds. Not impressive by today's standards of just over 10 seconds for the world record. But, 26 years ago my 97 seconds was faster than anyone I knew personally. *chuckling to oneself* ... It was SO EASY TO FOLLOW, that I picked up the solution (26 years later) without a lot of effort or practice. Just a lot of repetition to get back to speed. Now I can solve it 1-handed with my right hand (I am right handed) in about 5 mins, and under 5 mins 1-handed with my left hand, and 2 simultaneously in under 10 mins (1 in each hand), and if you can believe it, I can solve the cube in less than 27 minutes with my feet). I think some world class cuber's can do it in a minute or two with their feet (an amazing "feat" in itself). All because the techniques in this book were easy to follow, and more importantly, easy to remember. So I stress to everyone, it really is not hard to learn (this book is short, simple and to the point), You Just got to put the time in for repetition. I believe someone could simply memorize the solution in under a couple days of practice. If your really good at this kind of stuff, perhaps in a simple marathon session, you could grasp and practice all the concepts of the book. I would suggest an hour to 3 hours a day for a week, (at leisure) and you'll never need the book again. It is that well-written. I hear there are a lot of books that teach you how to solve the CUBE, and some BOOKS that teach you how to solve it faster. But if you've never solved it once before, this is THE book to use. IT "IS" definitely one of (if not the only one of the easiest and fastest and shortest book out there to master the solving of the cube without ever having to go back to the book to remember... if you put in the few hours a day for about 1 week. Not that much time, it's like riding a bicycle, you probably will never forget. GOOD LUCK & buy this book. IT IS EXCELLENT, and you won't be disappointed.

How To Solve Rubik's Cube
I had first bought this book in the early 80s and found it to be simple and easy to follow. The book gives you step by step solutions to the cube's mysteries. I had spent months trying, unsucessfully, to solve the cube and was quite frustrated. Before you start pulling out your hair buy your self a copy of this book. Within a short time you will be amazing your friends. With a little practice and the help of this book you will soon be able to solve the cube in less than three minutes. If you are honest you can tell your friends how you do it, but if you want to impress people with your "ability" to solve the cube, keep this to your self. BEST SOLUTION BOOK FOR THE CUBE
There are many solutions books available to solve the Rubik's Cube. This book is by far the easiest to follow. The use of diagrams makes it simple to understand. Even with the solution book in hand, it will still take many hours of practice to work the cube quickly. Be prepared to memorize many different type of moves as this is required to effectively solve the cube.
