The book is a excellent telling of that period of time in the southern part of America. Why the people in the 21st century don't understand that language used in the book is there because that was how they spoke during that time. Schools that ban book's that are important and should be read just for some ractical words are denying students their rights to experience the knowledge that can only be found in these books.
