    Great Ballzy Riffs

    Typical Australian "Pub Rocker's". Always known as "The Angels", Name change only in USA to avoid confusion and lawsuit. Released in '78 which was the begining of a new era for local music scene with Midnight Oil, INXS, Men at Work, AC/DC etc starting to make waves. Produced by band and M. Optiz, this album captures their hard hitting rock-boogie style well. This Album is from the Albert Studio's which was H.Vanda & G.Young. George Young is Malcolm and Angus Young(AC/DC) older Bro. Footnote - This cover design won best Aust. Album cover for that year

    Angel City

    While looking online for Angel City CDs I found out Angel city had changed their name to the Angels? Anyway, If you like hard in your face rock guitar riffs & good lead guitar as heard in the late 1970s Id recco this CD or Album or Tape to all you vintage rockers. Much compared too AC/DC I do see simularities but I always thought of Angel City to provide more taste *and maybe even more talent than AC/DC. I caught a live Angel City concert way back in 1982? that I believe was their 1st USA Tour it was advetised as a "Catch a rising Star" show. I must admit it was a great show for only $2.92 I believe this (face to face) was also their 1st US release. Check it out and if you like this I do also reccomend their 2nd US releases & "Dark Room" which carried on their straight up "in your face" ...

    So nice to finnaly buy this album on CD Thank You!

    It is the best of the Boomtown Rats albums and was out of print on CD for a very long time.I liked the total mix. Bob Geldoff before he became famous for "We are the World Hunger Tour" and his role in the Pink Floyd Movie "The Wall" was a cool Irish band to go see when they toured in the States. I saw them in 1979 and they rocked! A very small Paramount venue in Portland Oregon.The remaster makes it even better. Thank You again!
