About this product

Product Information

Charlie is a freshman. And while he's not the biggest geek in the school, he is by no means popular. Shy, introspective, intelligent beyond his years yet socially awkward, he is a wallflower, caught between trying to live his life and trying to run from it. Charlie is attempting to navigate his way through uncharted territory: the world of first dates and mixed tapes, family dramas and new friends; the world of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, when all one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite. But Charlie can't stay on the sideline forever. Standing on the fringes of life offers a unique perspective. But there comes a time to see what it looks like from the dance floor. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a deeply affecting coming-of-age story that will spirit you back to those wild and poignant roller-coaster days known as growing up.

  • Superb book, absolutely capturing!

I bought this book, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky, because I had been seeing a lot of my friends talking about it and saying how good it is. I thought that I would buy a copy for myself and see how good it really is. I really loved this book, it's so great and the way that the author has chosen to write it really helps enhance the reader's experience. It's a story that most people will be able to relate to also. There wasn't really anything I disliked about the book, perhaps some things could have been a little more in depth but overall it was fantastic. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone that I know; it's fantastic, it truly is. Definitely glad that I added this book to my collection.

  • Amazing! Definitely worth the money!

I bought this book, because I had read it online, really enjoyed, and wanted to read it again after I saw the movie. I found that I had no problems with the book. I loved it to bits!!!I am glad I bought this book because now I can make an easy comparison between the film and the novel. That and I find reading paper is easier than reading a screen.

  • heartbreaking but heartwarming

literally love this book so much that it feels like home.

  • Wonderfully entertaining.

I bought this book for my teenage daughter. She saw the movie version and asked me for the book. She loved the story so much and she insisted I read it too. I couldn't put it down. I read it in one sitting. I would recommend this to everyone especially to parents of a teenager.
