If you haven't read this book or seen the movie, do so now!
Having read this book when it was published and then seeing the subsequent film version, Valley of the Dolls became ingrained into the fabric of my life. I have probably seen the film over 100 times and never tire of its endlessly campy dialog, bad acting and amazing wardrobe. It also has always been fun to introduce people to the film if they were too young to have seen it when it came out (1967) and it is sheer joy to witness their delight in the madness that is that movie. Recently, a woman that works for me became enamored of the movie. By enamored, I mean obsessed. She has watched the movie EVERY NIGHT for the past three months. Every night I receive bizarre text messages from her quoting dialog from the vast assortment that film does offer which of course I then have to respond ... So, I decided to buy the book from her which led me here, to Ebay where I found it instantly at a fantastic price and from a wonderfully professional seller. So, now my friend is reading the novel and calling me nightly to tell me plot differences even though I already knew them...but she is having fun and so am I just in knowing Valley of the Dolls will live on thru many generations as will Ms. Susann.
