  • The very first 4k Graphics Card! Still good to use.

These are great Graphics cards for the price especially if you can get them for under $200. If I am correct, the GTX 970 was the first video card that came out to actually offer 4k resolution featuring HDMI 2.0. It runs TESV Skyrim SE and Elder Scrolls Online games with 4k settings. In Elder Scrolls Online, it struggles with some shaders or features when trying to max out every graphic setting available from the game, so have to turn down some distancing or features, but can still run it in 4k smoothly for the most part. The issue is that the 3.5GB useable VRAM is being drained instantly and could probably do much better with at least 8GB for the game. It is not very loud sounding either. Overall, it is like the best buy that you can get if you are just getting into 4k resolutions or ...

  • Still Relevant

Good card, but it basically only has 3.5 GB of VRAM (a opposed to the marked 4 GB). The 3 GB GTX 1060 is supposedly a better card at a similar price, but if you can get the 970 FTW+ model for $200 or less, it's still completely relevant and a great value.

  • Performs like GTX 1060, but at a lower price!

I needed a stand-in GPU while I waited for an RTX 30 series card at MSRP, and after doing my research, I discovered that this GTX 970 performs on-par with a GTX 1060. I purchased it, and have enjoyed using it for that purpose. I have to lower settings on some of my games, but I don't mind, since I secured this card for under 100. Strong value/performance even today!

  • great graphics - was a huge boost to performance

My system does not match the power of this card - it was a huge boost to performance, though my PC cannot push the 970 to it capabilities
