Gretest purchase i made
After 15 minutes of playing i liked this processor a lot. After getting a few devices from boss i became a huge fan of Boss products. So SY-300 isn't only a synth, it's also great guitar processor. There's no tones of modelled amps but there's one awesome no amp and many boss fx pedals so i tweak my favourite basic guitar sounds, they sound just awesome plus i selected a number of great synth leads/pads/pulses... And it's everything in outstanding quality, great playing feel and compact size. I'm very happy with this purchase and so far i prefere boss SY-300 to my Fractal Audio AXE AX8.After 15 minutes of playing i liked this processor a lot. The Superior Guitar Synth experience
Unless you just absolutely NEED specific instrument sounds (pianos, etc.), this should be your single purchase to get into the world of guitar synthesis. I find the pedals and pickups to make those other sounds can fall short of expectations, while the SY300 and it's super interface is all you need to get a rainbow of sounds out of not JUST your guitar, but nearly anything that uses a TR ("guitar") input. I've seen videos of this thing working with violins, bass guitars, cellos... and I use it for my Chapman Stick. Also not only is this thing the superior synth unit, but it's also a GREAT multi-effects unit. So even if guitar synthesis isn't everything you wanted it to be, it's still loaded with a ton of infamous digital effects, such as a huge range of Overdrives/Distortions and even ... Unless you just absolutely NEED specific instrument sounds (pianos, etc.), this should be your single purchase to get into the world of guitar synthesis. Don't be fooled by factory presets
This is a killer effect to have. Super fast tracking. The compressor in it is very useful and octave effects are very responsive. No glitching. A little pricey and too big for my pedal board but a very awesome and intuitive pedal.
